The last watch in the Control Van for the Argo II lowering we finished this morning. Rob Palomares (right) “flies” Argo II about 8 meters above the seafloor. Rachel Haymon, the watch leader, watches the video monitors closely so that she doesn't miss any important lava contacts. Tom Crook makes sure that the navigation fixes from the acoustic transponders are good so that we know exactly which piece of the seafloor Argo II is “seeing”.
