Argo II is brought back on board the ship this afternoon. Ron Comer (center) is directing the operation which requires five people to handle lines and control the winch. A lot of coordination and communication is needed during these types of operations at sea so that equipment is launched and recovered safely and efficiently. Ron is an expert at this having worked as a marine technician at Scripps for over 23 years.
