The youngest looking lava collected so far on this expedition! Erin Todd is all smiles at the great dredge haul collected last night during Dredge 10 near 1° 43.5’N latitude from a small volcanic mound. The glass on the surface of the pillow lava pieces is very fresh and is not weathered at all. This means that it was erupted very recently and may be the 1997 eruption detected by the Autonomous Hydrophone Array.
