Yet another satellite-generated map, this one of Muir Seamount only. This image, which is the boxed section of slide 2, shows the limitations of using one form of technology for all applications. Can you imagine trying to navigate with this map? When we want to understand a particular region in more detail, it's time to switch to a smaller scale or different type of representation.
