A flying fish thought it was escaping a predator
but ran out of luck when it landed on Knorr’s deck. Flying
fish glide rather than flap their finned wings. When gliding over
the water, they propel up with rapid beats of their tail on the
sea surface to stay airborne. They can sometimes “fly”
for tens of meters across the ocean surface.
