After the CTD arrives on deck, SSSG technician Amy Simoneau helps draw water samples from the collection bottles. The SSSG technicians, or Shipboard Scientific Services Group techs, have to know about many different types of oceanographic equipment to help the range of scientists that come on board Knorr to do their work.
