Dave Murline relaxes when he is off-duty by casting his line. He caught
several mahi mahi that were schooling on the port side of RV Melville. The
mahi mahi were feeding on smaller flying fish, which in turn eat smaller sea
creatures. All animals in the sea are part of “food chains.” Animals
lower in the chains become food for animals higher in the chains. At the bottom
of the food chain are ocean plants, many of them microscopic in size, that
use sunlight to grow. In oceanic ecosystems, nothing is wasted.
