Samples are slabbed, or cut into pieces, using the rock saw in order to see crystals in the interior. Dredge 34 has yellowish-green crystals of olivine (an iron-magnesium silicate mineral) and white plagioclase (feldspar - a calcium-aluminum silicate mineral). The sample is resting on the outer glassy surface.
