BLee Williams is 39
years old. He has been an Alvin pilot for six years. He has made
over 200 dives to the seafloor in both the Atlantic and Pacific
Oceans. He started working at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution
(WHOI) in 1993. Prior to that, he spent ten years in the Navy
and several more years working as a civilian in the Navy shipyard
in Newport News, Virginia. He has a daughter, Jennie, who is
13 years old. She is proud of her Dad and of the fact that he
dives to the “office” at the
bottom of the ocean.
