A photograph of the black pillow lava Maya’s watch saw today. This photo was taken by the electronic still camera on Argo II. You can see that the black lobe of younger lava in the center of the photograph has flowed over the lighter-colored, and sediment-covered, older pillows. The distance across the bottom of the image is about 4 meters. This is the area that we will be investigating tonight during more Argo II surveys.
